As based on SQL Database Size on Windows Server following are hardware requirement:

Small installation (1k-10k entries; 10-100 users):
- Dual-Core 2 Ghz or higher
- 4 GB RAM
- 2 GB free disk space(depends)
Medium installation (10k+ entries; 100-1,000 users):
- Quad-Core 2 Ghz or higher
- 16 GB RAM
- 4 GB free disk space(depends)
Large installation (100k+ entries; 1,000-10,000 users): With SQL Database: Microsoft SQL Server:

Including High Availability features (Always On Availability Groups, Windows Server Failover Cluster)

Server Core 32/64 CPU.
128+GB RAM
10GB free disk space(depends)

Notes:

Additional RAM and CPU is recommended as the database size grows, for optimal performance.
Additional resources should be added when using MS-SQL or Azure databases.
However, each database software has their own additional hardware requirements depending on installed components (as per vendor websites):

For example, MS-SQL Standard itself requires 1 GB RAM and 6 GB free disk space.
